The walk begins at Wendover station and takes you down through the town (past shops and pubs, should you need them).  The beginning of the canal is fairly well hidden in a back street - I certainly never knew it was there (although the name Wharf Road was a clue!).

Once you find the canal, it is an easy walk to follow along the branch all the way to Bulbourne, where it joins the Grand Union Canal (the pub here - the Grand Junction Arms is currently closed, but due to re-open in 2022).  From there you turn right (south east) to head towards Tring.  Tring station is only a short distance from the canal, making a is a 16km between two railway stations.
